The finished video has been delivered and signed off by Reckless General, and the "Making of" edit should be with us next week, meaning that all members of the RGR mailing list and website will shortly be able to see how it was all done.
The Soviets invade London
J6 films have completed filming with the band, and delivery of the edited video is expected this week. Darren Coleman & Hattie Murdoch were on set the whole time, and have filmed a "behind the scenes" feature to accompany the video, which will be uploaded in near future.
In other news, The Soviets' first appearance in London has been confirmed for March 11th 2010 at Dublin Castle, Camden. More details of this gig will be annoucned as and when they are confirmed.
"The Waitress" Single
The first single to come from The Soviets' EP will be opening track "The Waitress", and the band have been confirmed to shoot a music video with J6 Films on November 22nd. Hear the song in full on the Listen page.
"Who We Are" EP
The Soviets' debut EP has been mixed and mastered, and will therefore be added to the online discography in the next day or two.
The EP is titled "Who We Are", and includes "The Waitress", "No Love", and "Turned On".
All writing credit goes to Stephen Cochrane. The songs were arranged by The Soviets and produced by John Elliott at Loft Studios, Newcastle.
Release date TBA, but the CD will be available to pre-order in the near future.
The Soviets EP recording
The Soviets have signed an agreement with Loft Productions LLP to record three songs over 6 days in the next month. Once recording has started various members of the band will be blogging daily on the progress of the recordings, and the tracks will be made available to stream from this website once they are completed in early July.
